Create a custom field for wordpress theme

I have a wordpress theme and I need a custom field where I can put in text to be displayed after my comments in each post. This text will be unique in each post. When I login to wordpress and view my post to edit I want a box under the post box where I can put this text that will appear.
I also want something similar to another site where I can have a custom field for categories, where the text will appear after the posts in that category. The text will be unique in each category.
