Writer/Assistant for YouTube creator
$8-15 USD / hour
I'm looking at creating a weekly YouTube show and don't have time to do all of the research, prep work, and post work.
I'm an experienced entrepreneur with a background in IT, real estate, investing, and marketing. The show will probably mostly be answering questions asked by folks who have questions about starting or running a business.
Looking for someone with the skills to do some of these tasks:
- research possible content
- draft content outlines
- draft extremely compelling hooks, story line narratives (this may be the hardest part of the job)
- provide feedback on how to make videos most appealing
- possible post production work, like minor video editing
You should already be well versed in what makes great YouTube content, but you don't need to be seasoned. We will learn some of this together. There are some training courses on how to make compelling YouTube videos and we can go through some training together so we are on the same page.
The actual filming and most tech work we can do, but I could really use help with everything before going on camera and possibly help with some tasks with the footage.
Since this is a new project, we will have a test run, and then decide whether it's worth continuing.
My expectation is that this role will require 5-10 hours per week. It will be fun, exciting, and ground floor work.
Budget is limited since we are going to start with essentially a pro bono weekly show and it may take months or even years before we can turn a profit. We aren't looking for an unpaid intern, but if you wanted to be creative in a compensation proposal, I'd be happy to listen to any ideas. (i.e. Lower hourly rate but bonuses when the show hits certain metrics? Any kind of pay-for-results pitch will be seriously considered.)
We aren't expecting to make a profit from the actual YouTube Adsense pay. Every episode will be used as a lead generation tool to bring in clients for other products/services. When we are successful at this, our budget for your assistance will increase.
