I have a movieclip which is in fact a xmlbased slideshow. This slideshow loads different weather-radar images and slides between the images. I have added this movieclip with the slideshow to the google maps by groundoverlay. Works fine so far.
The problem is.. when im zooming very deep into a country, it gets VERY heavy. It loads the movieclip as a groundoverlay above the entire country which is basicly not necessary because im zooming into certain cities.
What i think i need is some function which calculates the viewports coordinates and zoomlevel.. which somehow get transformed into pixels. Then it needs to call a phpscript which crops only the part needed from the radarimage and put it as a groundoverlay on the viewport coordinates only, instead of the whole country. This way it wouldnt be that heavy.

It wouldt be that hard for a true google maps flash guru, so if you are a guru, please help me before i'm getting crazy! If i accept your bid, you will receive the fla which contains the google maps plus the xml slideshow.
