Javascript and Adobe Acrobat

I want to rent 3 hours of your time, at my office.

I have a website that collects info from the user, saves it in an Access database, performs some calculations, and displays some results.? The site lives in .asp files using JavaScript.? I want to enhance this to produce a .pdf form with? values filled in so that the user can print it out.

I'm using Dreamweaver for coding the .asp and .html files.

I'm using "Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES" to design the .pdf form.

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is three-fold:

(1) Show me how to pass values from my existing code into the .pdf file, to show the predetermined values in the form.? This is our major objective.? You'll need to have a firm grip on how to do this. (The form is already built.? Just need to put values into the fields.)

(2) Teach me some basic concepts of how Java interacts with the browser, syntax, structure, etc.? I built this site a few years ago? and it works well, but I'm not entirely sure how/why it works.

(3) Restructure the existing code.? I want to hide most of it from the user.

It's important that you be patient and communicate well.

You can view the existing site at <[url removed, login to view]> and click on "DWNJ Online"

## Deliverables

(1) A working website that produces a proper .pdf file showing values calculated by the existing code.

(2) Restructuring of the current code such that most of it is hidden from the user.

(3) We're really playing this by ear.? I'm guessing (if you really know your stuff) you'll need less than an hour to accomplish our major goals.? That will leave me with 2 hours to plague you with questions.

## Platform

It's important that this be compatible with all major web browsers.
