Inventory Control

Th purpose of this project is to create the primitive functions for an inventory control system. I have not yet decided on a front end so that will not be the focus (you will however be required to provide a way to show that the functions work, so there will be need for some front and also test cases). A webservices is what I am favoring either using xml or simple value-pairs for input. Output should be xml based. This is for a chain of restaurants so the way it works is the following: - Each store sells Items - Each item is made of components: Ingredients (cheese etc) + supplies (napkins etc) - Therefore we need some way to keep track of what is used for each Item. For example a greek salad will use: 200g of Lettuce, 30 g of cheese, 20g of olives etc... or we can think of it as 1 portion of Lettuce, 1 portion of cheese, 1 portion of olives, where each portion corresponds to a specific amount of product - In addition each Item sold can be customized. Therefore, you might have a Greek Salad, where the customer asks for double the amount of Olives. - Taking in account everything that is used for the purchase of each Item gives you what needs to be removed from inventory. Being able to Enter the initial amount of a component (i.e. cheese) and being able to know how much is left by simply looking at the purchases for the day is inventory control. Input this project: - A table containing a list of Items along with customizations. Objectives and output of this project: - establish a way to translate Items & Item customizations into individual components (i.r. Recipes to ingredients) - translate components into quantities (portions etc) - provide a way to enter initial quantities either as raw quantities or "buyable" quantities (i.e. 20kg of Lettuce=4 bags) - include a "replenish" threshold field - include an average buying price for the tracked component field - include an average purchase to delivery delay field - incoude an average consumption rate field - provide a way to query database on levels for all tracked component individually or grouped on any and/or all the following parameters as raw quantities (grams etc) or buyable quantities: per Restaurant id (or franchise level), based on individual thresholds, or relative quantity (empty, percentage), depletion ("will run out of in x days" based on average consumption) rate, severity (how long it will take to replinish based on average delivery-to-delay field)

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
