I'm looking into providing my clients with an easier way to share files with me. My idea is simple. I would like to place a box on my website which would present my client with a login screen. Once they've logged in, they are presented with an interface resembling windows explorer in which they could upload and download files by dragging and dropping them into and out of local directories. For instance, I'd like to be able to grab an icon of the file from the website and drop it onto my desktop. I'd also like to be able to drag a file from my desktop into this box and have it automatically upload. This would have to be a secure method as well. As I have an expanding list of clients, this system would have to separate clients into their own secure folders and one client could not log into another's folder without knowing their password. It would also need to be fairly simple to set up a new client folder when needed. There is no real need for the side tree structure, just a white box filled with icons and folders. Also, it'd be extremely useful to be able to drag and drop a "folder" of files to and from the webapp. I'd prefer if it did not compress them to zip when downloading or uploading.
