**SUMMARY OF PROJECT**
We are in need of server-side development to build a **WEB APPLICATION with a robust database backend**.
We need a developer who knows how to use and develop **_REST API_** to integrate updates from mobile phone to reflect on website and for changes made to website database to show on mobile phone. A mobile app cannot speak directly to a server and CANNOT have two separate applications talking to database directly. If you have not done this type of work, please _**do not**_ bid on this project.
Our application is intended to provide ultimately, points of interest, events, locations based on when the venue or location opens and/or closes. So for example, we want to be able to show for ALL polling (voting) locations for entire US the address and TIME of closing. Another example is to show ALL "happy hour" events for bars and lounges. When an event or location time closes, we refer to as "expiration" and should reflect as such in a creative way on the website.
The requirement is for someone to build the WEB APPLICATION using REST API. I would encourage you to visit [[url removed, login to view]][1] for more details. You must have direct experience doing this.
The successful bidder will be in a position to help develop a widget that we will distribute, a Facebook application that is similar to Twitter in which the user can do what we call Quick Adds (see requirements in attached document).
Your references should point to web applications where you have done this kind of work. If you have designed websites without business logic, this is probably not the best project for you to bid. Thanks for your consideration look forward to your bids.
You will be expected to work with our Mobile Application developer located in Bulgaria.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
LAMP programming. Mobile application currenting under design and hired Web Application developer will work with Mobile app developer who is already hired, located in Bulgaria.
**REST API** is absolute skill requirements.
