Improve Checkout Process

We are getting lots of visitors, creating baskets but not checking out. I want to improve the checkout process so it is simple and easier to use.

A) I am looking for guidance on a good, clean checkout process for CRELoaded

B) I am looking for you to do creative work as required

C) I am looking for you to code/update the site as required.

Details: CRELoaded Pro v6.2.1a

We have lots of customised code on the site.

I have a better idea of what I want.....see www.hamleys.com, I want someone to deliver an user experience as close to that as possible.

1. When I add a toy to my Bag I get a friendly popup giving me options to continue, update or checkout. With a image and the qty ordered etc. BONUS: If we can modify the current gift wrap option on our website to work on a per item basis then that would be perfect.
2. CLICK CHECKOUT - The first page is perfect shows the order, removes the navigation and makes it easy for the user, gives an indication on the steps. I like the promo code on this page, stands out nicely.
3. CLICK CHECKOUT NOW - STEP 2 - Login - nice and simple again, login using previous details or create a new account. Button shows you are going secure...
4. CLICK CREATE NEW ACCOUNT - Perfect, give customer option to still login using previous details or create a new account, simple and elegant.
5. STEP 3 - DELIVERY - SImple, however we have one requirement, our current shipping is based on the 1st part of the postcode, for example if my postcode is NW9 8EL then provide a drop down list, with the first element, this i believe at the moment is where our users get confused (option to suggestions). Need optional field for Company Name or House Name
6. STEP 4 - DELIVERY OPTIONS - Bit more cluttered than I want however similar, if next day or express are selected then a quick calculation is done based on time of day, so if after 1pm then processed the next day, If they choose STORE COLLECT then make it clear the location of the store.
6. PAYMENT - We use SAGEPAY forms, so we might need to move this further down the order.
7. BILLING - As delivery needs to have the billing address clearly stated.
8. SUMMARY OF ORDER WITH DETAILS
9. PAYMENT REDIRECT TO SAGE PAGE
10. PAYMENT CONFIRMED > RETURN TO A CONFIRMATION PAGE WITH OPTION TO PRINT ORDER.

Please review your bid, I want it this simple, visually attractive and clear and simple. You need to do the graphics and layouts to match, obviously needs to be done within next 10 days as I am entering a key period and needs to be fully supported.
