Script developer with Google Ads (AdWords) API experience
$15-25 USD / hour
An experienced Google Ads API developer to kick-start/build on our first scripts for pulling data from the Google Ads API. We have been granted permission by Google to use the API, and are aware that this data can also be obtained using scripts (no API necessary). I am an MS CS/EE and understand/manage software development; but I'm not a practicing developer. So I focus on hiring the right person, supplying them with a strong spec, and making sure we have a way to test the work product.
There are a number of scripting languages that can be used to query the API; we prefer PHP or Python but are open to alternatives if there is a good case for it. Getting the API to work is a bit tricky (OAuth timeout issues etc) but we are told it is not, as they say, "Rocket Surgery" ;-)
In your note to us, please demonstrate your familiarity with key issues relating to the API, and/or involvement in the Google API community. If you have not done development work with the Google Ads API, then you are not the right person here as we're not up for a big learning curve or "first-timer".
We need the following deliverables. The times for this initial small project are stretched out in order to interest more qualified developers:
- Deliverable #1 is draft script and testing results showing access to Google API returning results for at least one query, using the Google Ads API sandbox. Need by Dec 1st (11 days).
- Deliverable #2 is working script and testing results against live Google Ads API, Need by Dec 5th (16 days out).
