Purpose

Develop an Data Storage Transformation Strategy helping the company to move from On-Premise Storage Model to a Hybrid On-Premise & Cloud Storage Model.

Outline:

This project is to develop a transformation approach that clearly shows the transformational steps to take our current on premise storage environment to a suggested future state that will be based on a hybrid on premise and cloud storage model.

This should also indicate key projects, activities, decision points and when those decision need to be made and the enterprise architecture considerations needed to be established as part of the transformation.

For this work you will need to have a good understanding of enterprise and/or solutions architecture, storage infrastructure, strategy and roadmap development.

You will be expected to conduct research of the current and emerging environment to identify how other companies might be undertaking this work, risk areas that should be given attention, related projects and activities.

This enterprise storage strategy will then be used during the project and budget planning cycle to future proof any planned or future investments in the storage infrastructure and aid making more informed decisions relating impacted infrastructure.

Deliverables:

• Produce a storage transformation discussion paper that describes the need for an enterprise storage strategy, the transitional steps moving from our current environment to the agreed future state.

• Produce an enterprise storage transformation roadmap showing the projects and activities to move from the current state to a desired future state.

• Produce an Executive Summary Presentation
