Virtual Reality Pilot Training Prototype v4 for Oculus Quest 2 using UE4.26.

We are using human codeable advanced VR framework 4.1 which comes with numerous interaction components.

The game has 3 key levels: Pilot Briefing Room, Hangar (main level for lessons), Airport.

*Most of the core features and interactions are already there templates are what's needed for the new ones.

Tasks:

1. Develop a better step-by-step lesson/ tutorial template system that’s flexible and aware of various interaction types, target object and the objects possible states (e.g. ON/ OFF/ NEUTRAL). The tutorial system should also account for steps with multiple substeps (e.g. Step 3, do sub step i, ii, iii in series).

2. The tutorial system feeds the data into a widget Checklist Book

3. The checklist book pops up when the player looks at their palm and can be attached to the yoke

4. Implement an Info window or labelling system that tell shows player what to interact with (partially included in the AVR Framework)

5. The system is meant to allow for the following unique types of lessons (full step list available) to be carried out:

1. Walk Around Part 1.

a) Preliminary: Player walks/ teleports around aircraft removing various obstructions.e.g. grab and throw box away and touch oil spill and it disappears.

b) IN CABIN: Players i) Grab - remove item, ii) operate switches and levers, iii) go outside check lights return to aircraft. Operate switches and levers iv) grab - look at first aid box and fire extinguisher condition - putback

2. Walk Around - Part 2: i) Player walks around looking at various parts and confirms good condition, ii) Player grabs and angularly drag various parts (elevators) iii) Play grabs a fuel tester bottle - snaps it to fuel drain valve - blue fuel fills bottle - player confirms fuel colour

3. Internal Checks: MOSTLY Implemented. i) NEW: Grab seat belt and put it in a buckle. ii) Review: Operate switches and Levers (linear, angular). iii) Review: Panning look outside windows right to left.

6. Advise and implement Quest 2 optimizations

The type of rockstar we are looking for:

• 3+ years’ experience game systems design mostly in UE4 games

• Passion for virtual reality, data or complex challenges

• Expert knowledge of UE4 blueprint communication systems and able to map/ illustrate data flow

- Some experience with widgets

• Great English communication and collaboration skills

• Able to function with deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to experiment, innovate and execute diabolical plans
