osCommerce Site Customization & Custom Mod

For a company selling a single product made in hundreds of variations for specific makes and models of vehicles. Current site is old, outdated and runs on 3d cart. Developing new site from the ground up on osCommerce platform. Hosting is in place, fully configured and ready. Still narrowing down templates from templatehelp.com.

osCommerce will need to be installed and the template will need minor modification for menu layouts, columns, and other minor tweaks. Likely template can be found here: [login to view URL]

Left hand Menu should have a mouseover triggered popup submenu. For example, the menu will list all available make of vehicle (Audi, BMW, etc.), and when moving you mouse over Audi, the next options should popup, allowing you to choose model (A4, S4, TT, etc.)

Most work will be done in the category listing pages and the product pages.

Top level category listing will need a particular appearance in the following order:

The layout of the Product Details page will also have minor aesthetic changes as well as significant functionality changes.

This page should have a medium sized thumbnail of the product image, and when you move your mouse over it, a larger full size copy appears next to it.

Every product belong to one of several categories (Fabric types). Each item, depending on its category, has 5-15 options for color choice. Instead of a drop down box to choose color, I would like under the item description a thumbnail for each color option in one or two rows. as the user moves the mouse over a thumbnail, it should appear in a larger, centered popup showing the full size image. If the user clicks on a color thumbnail, it should be selected as the color option for the product, and indicated this in some sort of label by the price saying ("Color Choice: xxxxxxxxxxx"). Some colors have additional costs associated with them.

In the ADMIN backend, for each product I should be able to assign it to a Fabric type. This will dictate what colors are shown on the product page. Also, for each product, I should be able to set price differences for options.

As an example, Products A and B are both available in Cotton. Product A in Black is no additional charge, however Product B is $100 extra in Black.

This is the basic layout set forth. Should not be too difficult for someone well versed in osCommerce and coding. Additional minor tweaks should be expected. Thank you!

Just to clarify with a summary... This is starting on a fresh install. Starting from an un-modified copy of osCommerce. I will provide a Logo for the site, and any additional images needed as requested by the coder. I can fill in the basic text on the site or populate the products as needed for testing. If you/the coder would rather do any parts of this, you will have my full input. I'm here to answer any questions as they come up.

Time frame for completion will 10 days unless a different time frame is agreed by both parties. Looking for a complete, functional site to be delivered free of bugs. You may use existing solutions as needed, just make it clean and fast. Thanks! :)
