I need a quick interface in html/php to send update on technician that are on the road.
From the admin side, 6 fields will need to be entered and saved in a database. The admin will need to be able to edit each work order if needed.
- work order number (letter and number)
- client name
- tech name
- schedule date
- schedule time
- status
From the technician side. They need to see the work orders listed by work order numbers and color depending on the status of the call.
By clicking on the work order they can update the status. They dont have choice. At first, the work order is schedule, then they can only update it by click "on my way", then the new button is "on site". once the job is done, they click "job done" and a form appear with 7 fields.
- start "on my way" time (with the pre capture time when they clicked earlier on the "on my way" button, they can modify that)
- start "on site" time (with the pre capture time when they clicked earlier on the "on site" button, they can modify that)
- finish job time ("job done" button + 15 min with the ability to modify that)
- description of the work done
- on site contact name
- technician name (pre capture from the start)
- new status (completed, more work needed, follow up needed, part needed)
Once fields are completed they click send and all the info are sent by email to the admin.
At each update (on my way, on site, job done and completed) an email must be sent to the admin.
Also, 15 min before the schedule time a email must be sent to the tech with a reminder of the job.
At the scheduled time, an email must be sent to the tech to remind him to update the status.
Please keep in mind that this is a temporary system that will come later with a complet scheduling, work order and invoicing system. If everything goes well we will work toghter to have that system put in place.
