Hide a field if no number/text is present

Hello, this should be a simple project. I use AAWP on my Wordpress site to show amazon product pricing and discounts.
What I need is for "was/now" field to show up if there is no deal available. For example, if you look at this page: [login to view URL]
The first product shows this:
$8.99 | (was $20.99, now 57% off)
And the second product shows this:
$5.99 | (was , now off)
There is no deal on amazon for the second product, so it is showing without a value.
I would like to hide everything after the "|" if no value is present. Instead, that line would just read $5.99
I would like this to be a global change added so it works on all pages
