Introduction:
I am looking to integrate an AI language model into a standalone Android device or potentially a Windows computer if needed.
Background of project and context:
I have a cognitive disorder and often rely on artificial intelligence to work through problems however, the primary issue I run into is a lack of memory within the AI. Chat GPT works relatively well but I have little experience under the hood and I find it cannot retain the context of our conversation. At the very least, it can't remember more than six or seven messages back and forth.
My initial thoughts were if I could integrate a standalone GPT AI on my device, I could use a word document or something similar to autosave or conversations and create a code that would tell chat GPT to reference this document before every response so it can create a working memory.
There may be a much more simple workaround but that is the current status of things.
Desired outcome: a Chat AI with the ability to remember our history, So I can teach it things, train it to work with my disability and so on. This will likely require internet access in order to answer questions, do research, etc. and it would be ideal if it could access applications on my phone or at the very least access elements of Google or smart home technology I have integrated into my house - but, I understand that maybe a leap.
