Cinema4D and AfterEffects product tutorial animations

We currently have the regular need for relatively simple animations in Cinema4D (R11 or R12) and alternatively AfterEffects (CS5 or CS5.5). Much of it is for training videos to illustrate points.

Most of the 3D work is with existing models but occasionally we need to add parts to complete a visual. Animations are often of equipment and how it functions but not usually complex part interactions and physics, often more splines with arrows and camera moves that complement narration and the like.

In AfterEffects, we have a similar range of demonstrative or explanatory 2D animations and sometimes special effects like a video wall or similar.

I am looking for someone who has the ability to respond relatively promptly and will have a reasonable rate for good quality. All files will become property of our company when completed and you will have to agree to non-disclosure as some items come from our clients' CAD systems. The number of days and the budget entered are sort of a guess since there are multiple items.

Your location is not a real issue, but if you happened to be near or in SC, that would help.

What is your typical expected turnaround time for say a 4-hour animation project request given to you on a Monday?

Do you mind working by the hour or do you prefer quoting by project?

What do you think is the best way to communicate details of a moderately complicated animation from a distance when we cannot meet in person?
