I'm Xiaoli Chen, a Ph.D. candidate in Library and Information Science. On the side, I manage a small number of translation projects for a Chinese film production company. This is where freelancer comes in handy.
As a native Beijinger, I am currently based in Munich, Germany, previously I worked in Geneva, Switzerland for 4 years, and before that, I completed my master degree in the U.S.
I am an experienced Chinese<->English translator and interpreter. My translations had appeared on megazines like TimeOut Beijing, Forbes, and Youth Vision, I have recently translated a novelization of a major motion picture which will be published in mainland China. I have worked as an interpreter for commercial/ad production companies, acting as the bridge between the international creative talents and local production team and facilitators.
