The functions are already written in Python / Cython and working. To improve the perfomance significantly (Cython already halfed the processing time from Python), I would need the functions in C/C++. The functions will then be compiled via e.g. GCC to a .so and .dll file to be called by the main python script. Compiling can be done by myself, target of the task is to generate the two functions (c/cpp file and header) functional for Windows and Linux. The only imported library these two functions use is Numpy, but only for generating empty arrays in specific size and identification of the array shape sizes. I have a project that I have worked using OPL, where thereis a lot of data preparation involved and is done partly in excel VBA, some small part in python and results in VBA again. The OPL is a large one which also includes a lot of pre-processing code within itself. The OPL code is about 900 lines, and there are 2 VBA and one python code. The VBA in excel and python prepares the data for input to CPLEX OPL. OPL reads the excel and outputs to excel csv, which is again analysed using VBA. I need all these to be streamlined into one place. There will be an UI which will read the data in the form of csv, and call the cplex run.
