Our Technical Vision for implementing this : 1) Let's use MySQL / SQL Server as the server DB and SQLite for holding minimum data in the device. 2) If we can have a Windows Server, we would strongly suggest to use .NET Signal R which is extremely effective and fast for high volume of requests made to the server. i could create a site that allows input from an app on android or any pc, the postgre database will be secure enough, sending data between the app and bdd will be encrypted (you don't want use MD5 is really bad).
