Eye Of Gnome 3.18.2 is a standard part of Ubuntu 16.04 , installed as "image viewer".
It's agreat and *fast* image viewer, especially when you need to zoom into the photos, I am using it to browse thru, and tag photos of faults for use in report.
I would like an plugin like this, let's call it "Report"
Plugin config should contain:
Subfolder/folder name: "output_folder" (< a folder name, customizable and saved)
Describe on/off (checkbox) (<enables to attach a comment before copying)
Description 1: "Fault type 1" <(string customizable and saved)
Description 2: "Fault type 2"
Description 3: "Fault type 3"
Description 4: "Fault type 4"
Description 5 "Fault type 5"
Description 6: "Fault type 6"
Plugin should DO:
Now imagine the Eye Of Gnome being used to browse photos in a folder.
What the plugin does is:
if the following button (c,v,b,or n) is pressed while browsing photos, do action:
c : copy current image (file) to a subfolder. (retain same filename, just make a copy)
v : save current view (the area I may have zoomed at useing mousewheel) to subfolder (with same exif), filename should be added a "c" so if source is [login to view URL] , copied file should be [login to view URL]
b: let me mark an area, the selected area, should be saved to a subfolder, retaining EXIF information and adding "c" to filename
n: execute a command of my choice (selected in plugin config) with the path+filename of currently displayed file as parameters.
However IF "Describe" feature is enabled in settings:
then after pressing c,v,b or n, user should be presented with an dialog like:
----------------------------------------------
Fault type 1 Fault type 2
Fault type 3 Fault type 4
Fault type 5 Fault type 6
------------------------------------------------
The 6 selections preselect last selected choice, selecting by cursor , and pressing enter writes that custom string to "Comment" part of EXIF , then processes according to c,v,b or n, as usual.
(Whenever I say "retain EXIF information" it's only important to keep the GPS and time/date/comment information, not the maker notes and such.)
I expect the project outcome be open source, so and being available to others is just a plus.
I am very proficient in c and c++. I have 16 years c++ developing experience now, and have worked for more than 6 years. My work is online game developing, and mainly focus on server side, using c++ under linux environment. I used c++ to make many great projects, for example, I made the tools which can convert java files into c++ scripts, of course garbage collection included, this job is very similar to a compiler, and is very complex. I also made our own mobile game using c++, I can show you the demo of client, if you like. I am very proficient in java also. I have a very good review on Freelancer.com, I never miss a project once I accept the job, you can check my review. Trust me, please let expert help you.
