CSS horizontal menu - hightlighting current tab

I have a horizontal dropdown menu. I need to hightlight the current tab (so when the user clicks on it stays a different color). I've looked at it for a day but whatever I do my CURRENT tab does not stay hightlighted.
Definition of the horizontal menu in the css (search for 'suckertree') and the menu is in '[login to view URL]'.
I'm completely sick of looking at it.
