I am a British trained international teacher, who also has experience of teaching ESL classes. I'm currently living in Berlin and teaching business English ESL classes. I use a wide variety if resources, sourced from books, the internet and my own teaching experience to plan and prepare for my classes. The classes I teach are specific to the needs of the student and differentiated to their ability level and subject knowledge. I usually prepare my lessons on Powerpoint and then email a PDF to students for their reference after the class. Hi, I am an ESL tutor and article writer from England. I have recently returned from teaching in Thailand where I taught interviews to high school students preparing for university. I also tutored adults across different topics including interviews and IELTS. I plan lessons around specific topics and usually include a introduction which allows the students to answer questions and explore the content. My lessons then have the presentation with the main ideas and information (this may include short tasks). Next is the practise section or the main task to see if students can put into action what they have just been taught. I end my lessons with a cool down which recaps the main lesson objectives. For interview lessons the tasks would be confidence builders getting people talking in groups and tasks to make people think on there feet. Common activities I do are interviewing pretending you are a famous person. Timed answers to ensure you aren't speaking too long. Or even would I lie to you, which is where students must give a true answer and a false one and people can decide which one is true; this is excellent for building confidence.
