Complete & Tidy Contacts Spreadsheet

Job Background: ideas42 are in the process of implementing a CRM and GMS system to help streamline our project management operations and communications efforts. Current Status: Two near complete lists of contacts need to be loaded into our CRM system. Before we can do this we need to tidy up the existing entries, and complete those missing important information. Objective of Project: Produce one combined list of contacts complete with Name, Organization/Account Information, Email Address, Physical Address (Columns A - T) that is ready to be uploaded into our CRM system. Task 1: List# 1: CRM Deduped Contacts with Account [login to view URL] • Organization/Company/Business Entry (Account) Column D – Perform a general tidy up of entries so each account name (the business, company or organization) is consistent and correct as per the company’s (account) website. o e.g. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (not Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation) o e.g. Abt Associates (not Abt) o TIP: Unsure of organization name? Search for the domain in the email address in Google. • Where possible, complete contact entries that still requires address information by performing a Google search for the address details. Use Head Office Address as default if cannot determine the individual contact’s address. If you are unable to find the information, please leave blank. Task 2: List #2: Josh W [login to view URL] • Step 1: Using the Email Column ‘H’; remove duplicate rows where identical email addresses appear (e.g. ) • Step 2: Using the Email Column ‘J’ populate account name information in respective fields; Do this by extracting email domain (column J) and perform search in Google in order to find the business, company, or organization the contact belongs to. Fill out Organization/Business or Company, in Column D & Address information in Columns O-T respectively. • Where possible, complete contact entries that still requires address information by performing a Google search for the address details.
