In this thesis it is proposed, 1) To design discrete-time robust pole placement controller using global optimization technique. 2) Robust pole placement design using LMI. 3) Comparative study of the pole placement design as at (1) and (2). 4) The robustness analysis of the designed systems using approaches at (1) and (2) above. The examples from various engineering disciplines will be taken to implement the design approaches as at (1) and (2) and study the performances. The MATLAB and Simulink will be used for the design and analysis.
