Genealogy is a 25 year old passion for me, and I would love to help you trace your lineage in whichever countries it comes from. I am a Family History consultant in St. George, Utah. Over the past several years I have been asked to teach many classes to youth, middle-age and elderly and I also enjoy meeting with individuals in their homes and helping them one-on-one. This very day I sat with a woman in her home and helped her break through walls (blocks) on her pedigree lines in mere minutes... blocks that she has had for years and years. I've found missing children (who died between Census years in the 1800's)... ones the descendants never knew about. It's all in knowing where to look. I am very proficient at using the internet and specific websites to find original sources to prove heritage. Proof is vital to this research. I am EXCELLENT at guesswork, deducing who might be likely relatives, and then working backwards, forwards, and often sideways (through siblings and spouses) to find the correct person (with documentation). The greatest thrill for me is to find a picture or history for a client and put a face or story with the name. I also use history & maps in my research and deductions. I've done extensive research in England and Europe and attend genealogical conferences to learn the latest and greatest techniques for research. I usually charge $25/hr for research, but do not charge if records are not found. I would love to help you and can provide references.

I would be happy to look at your family tree and to see how far I could take it. SInce you have not posted any details, it is impossible to say how far I could get. Some people escaped registration. Other records have been lost over time. Records for non-conformists are especially poor. In other cases, the name is so common that it is impossible to guarantee accurate identification eg tracing Jones in Wales or Smith in England For me to be successful, you would need to be able to supply details that would take your family back to the early twentieth century. It should then be possible to work on a direct line backwards. More recent information is not in the public domain. I have access to UK online records only so if your family came from outside that area, please disregard this bid. If successful, I would suggest that you gave me further details so I could advise you on the likelihood of being able to research your family. Advice is free!
