Application moved to new server but java applet not working

We have a faulty server that is about to die. Win 2K3 MS SQL and IIS 6. The web app that is /was running on it has been moved to a new server. Win 2K12 R2 MS SQL IIS 8 Most of the application is working except an image import function. On the client you go to import an image and a pop up window appears with a java applet allowing you to choose the image and store it in the database. Running on the new server the applet incorrectly connects and stores the information in the old server database. If I shut down the old database then the applet doesn't load at all. I need someone to figure out why the applet is trying to connect to the old server and point it to the new one instead.
