We're currently looking for a skilled and experienced node.js developer, with socket io experience. Basically what we are creating, is a website that can handle online chat support, that get's imbedded into a website, using an iframe. It's important that you know the usage of databases, and database security. The skills that are required for this job, - node.js (and [login to view URL] etc) - html/css (and twitter bootstrap) - jquery (and javascript in general) - database security - stripe payments ([login to view URL]) Most of the pages is already completed (HTML/CSS/JS), but some parts has to be done by you (all tools (html css etc) will be provided by us). You will basically be doing the back-end stuff. There is a few pages missing, and you'll have to be a little bit creative. Don't worry, we will sort this out, it has to do with payment / subscription (stripe) stuff. English speaking freelancer is a high priority, as communication is key from start to finish. Here is a few examples of some similar sites, [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] A few key notes to this project, - User profile (and settings, change password etc) - Use gravatar picture by default (email) - Using the stripe payment system - Support multiple languages (only English in the beginning) - Program in MVC pattern - Making sure the system works with hundred of online users (we understand that the server may have some limits, but it needs to be optimized, let us know more about this if you need any information). - Be able to customize the "widget/iframe" that will be added to other websites.

I have extensive experience writing software that interfaces with large-scale databases, including Apache Accumulo, MongoDB, Neo4j, mySQL, etc... I have created a modern web-based chat service and have extensive experience working with node.js, websockets, d3js, and creating interactive dashboards. I have working knowledge of javascript and experience using jquery. If you want to implement your product on in a secure database, Accumulo is the way to go. Apache Accumulo extends the BigTable data model (developed by Google) by including security labels that must be satisfied at query time in order for the key and value to be returned as part of a user request. This allows data of varying security requirements to be stored in the same table, and allows users to see only those keys and values for which they are authorized.
