Anomaly detection engine for LINUX operating system

I am an expert in data mining and predictive modeling. I have a PhD in physics and extensive experience in time series mining, fraud detection, machine learning and statistics. I also know Linux. I can do it in R which can be better suited for this purpose.

I have done several projects in Matlab or Octave (open source library similar to Matlab that can run m files). Some of them includes machine learning concepts. As i know there are many implementations and source codes in open source community for different algorithms in Matlab. for this project we can search and use proper libraries to implement Hidden Markov chain and then Anomaly Detection.
