ASP based Email Challenge/Response Web Application

All C/R spam blocking systems work in virtually the same manner, by introducing an intermediary between the user's actual, spam-infested Inbox, and a quarantined Inbox. Ideally, all non-spam emails will pass through the filter while all spam emails will not. The job of the "blocker" is five-fold: 1. Delete black listed emails from the infested account, 2. Move white listed emails from the infested account to the quarantined account, 3. For emails in the infested account that are not in the black or white list, send a challenge to the email's originator. Such emails are said to be "pending," as they have yet to either be deleted or forwarded on to the quarantined account. 4. Accept responses from challenges. A successful response should add the responder's email address into the white list, thereby causing the previously pending email to be forwarded to the quarantined account, and 5. Delete stale pending emails. This works by performing the following steps every few minutes: 1. Connect to the infested account and retrieve all of the email message headers. 2. For each message, determine if it is in the black list, white list, pending list, or is not in any of the lists. * For messages in the black list, delete the message from the infested account. * For messages in the white list, forward the message on to the quarantined account. * For messages in neither the white, black, or pending list, send a challenge. * For messages in the pending list, do nothing, as the person has already received a challenge. That's all there is to it! All that remains is to setup Outlook or OE to download emails from the quarantined account as opposed to the infested account. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Must work via IE 5.5 and up...on a windows server only. Must be completed in vbScript for ASP technology. Must use Access backend. Must allow for 50+ users.
