Custom Point of Sale Program

The purpose of this contract is to design a custom web based program that provides point of sale features, tax reports, sales tracking and other features. Listed below you will find the modules that are needed. A messenger program must be used to ensure proper communication between you and I. The system should be written in ASP, ASP.NET or PHP and use the MySQL database structure. This system is being custom written for an actual working store, not for resale. -Point of Sale module: The POS system should act as any other POS system should. It must keep track of customers purchases, remove items from inventory, include a feature to scan items using a bar code system and remove the items once the transaction is complete. I would also like to integrate [login to view URL] with the system, but is not required at this time. The ability to perform a return / credit should also be included. All transactions should post items to the database so reports can be ran to show amount of tax collected, how much the item sold for, etc. -Accounting module: The accounting system should show contain reports on every possible aspect of the system. For example, we will need a tax collected report, daily cash report, profit and loss report, etc. These reports will pull the information from the database from when an invoice is created. -Inter-office messages module: We need a inter office messaging system to be able to communicate with the employees that are working for us. Basically this should be the same as email, but contained within the system. -Inventory module: This system must be capable of tracking inventory based upon multiple store locations. All items will contain a UPC bar code, and will need the ability to print price tags that contain the bar code as well. The inventory system should be real-time and count for every item in stock. -Employee module: Each employee should be entered into the system before access shall be granted to the system. Access levels should also be integrated to allow access to areas only allowed to that employee. -Customer module: The customer module needs to include customer history, ability to record interactions with the customers such as phone calls, store visits, etc. For example when a customer visits us and purchases a phone, the first history entry would be their invoice. There also needs to be the ability to manually enter information into the customers history such as mailing thank you cards, or thank you phone calls. The history should also be stamped by the date, time, location of the store, and employee logged in. New customers should be entered into the system through the POS entry screen. Each module must be designed one at a time to ensure proper procedures and usability is obtained.
