I need a script that will upload, using ftp, folders of files to a remote webserver from my local windows machine. The script will work by reading config files for the ftp settings. A config file should be in plain txt format. It may have any name but should end with the .ini extension. It will contain the following information: ======================= server i.p./url // [login to view URL] username password upload location // [login to view URL] chmod setting // in octal format i.e 0777 folder to upload from on local machine // c:/myfolder ========================= The config files may contain other lines of text so the script should be written in such a way that it only extracts the above relevant information. It is upto the coder how they would want to structure the config file. The chmod setting will be used to change the chmod of the folder the script will be uploading in to. When the script is initiated, it will look through a folder named "queue" to check for config files. It will read through the config files and carry out the uploading for each one. Once a config file has been dealt with it will be moved to another folder named "uploaded". once the "queue" folder is empty the script will stop. Once the script is initiated it should run without further user interaction. At each stage (connecting to server, setting chmod of folder, uploading folder and files) the script should report back to the browser window whether the operation was successful or not. If a config file isnt successful it should be placed in a folder named "unsuccessful". The script should be well comented as I may need to modify it in the future.
