This Sugar CRM is used into a Media Enterprise to control its commercial and sales staff. Customers, sales, products and staff information are the core of this CRM.
Colombian enterprises have a tax payment code called NIT. This NIT is the ID of each customer in the CRM, an it is used for invoicing works as well. Usually, any company has only one NIT.
However, there are many big enterprises that have "sections", and these sections are similar to small enterprises (they spend its own budget, purchase its own media planning and call its own sales executive); they behave as a customer, they are like customers by themselves, but all those "sections/customers" could have the same NIT if they are part of the same big enterprise.
Sugar don´t allow CRM administrators to make difference between the sections/customers of one enterprise. We cannot have a report that shows indicators per sections/customers, because all they could have the same NIT.
At the moment, we have implemented one partial solution: In the top menu "Otro" (Other in english), option "Razón Social" (Company Name in english) we are allowed to add a letter to the NIT, to make difference between different "sections/customers" that share same NIT.
For example: This is Bogota Mayorship, and each section/customer is a Department into Mayorship.

NITs used only for one customer, use letter "N" after NIT to determine they do not have sections/customers
But this "solution" is just informative, its useless for customer administration, because the rest of the modules of Sugar CRM do not identify this letter as difference between sections/customers into an enterprise. For example, in customers assignation module, Bogotá Mayorship (NIT 899999061) is assigned to more than 10 sales executives, and CRM do not allow us to know which sections/customers into this NIT who are assigned to. Therefore, we cannot realize which sections/customers pay on time, or purchase the most or any other indicator we could need.
It is required that the whole Sugar CRM identifies this system: For example,
- Assignation of sections/customers to different sales executives, no matter if they share NIT
- Purchasing records of all sections/customers, no matter if they share NIT
- CRM modules as: Tasks (tareas), Meetings (reuniones), Opportunities (oportunidades), Customers bag (Bolsas de Clientes), Proyections (Proyecciones), Trade Clocks (Product called "Relojes Comerciales"), On the air´s (Product called "Directos"); must use this system - NIT+letter -
We need to make difference betwen any customers in spite of sharing same NIT. Queries and reports must use this system as well.
