Chat application over proxy

I have developed a small Chat application. It uses the Winsock control to do Text Chat, Voice Chat and Video conferencing. My chat application is working smoothly on my PCs. The only problem is that it is not working for me on Proxies. I basically need the **simplest way through which i can convert my existing application to work on Proxy**! The chat application should work over HTTP as well as SOCKS proxy. Its as easy job for someone who already has this experience or knows how to do that. I just need a REALLY BASIC example (As basic as a "Hello World" example) which can demonstrate me how one winsock (on proxy) can communicate with the different PC (which is outside the proxy). Please note that you only have to send me Explain me how to do this by developing an example.
