# 1. DESCRIPTION, PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES Establish a web presence for DWM. Web presence must do the following three things: 1. Add value to people's lives, ministries, families, and fortunes. 2. Continuously capture leads. 3. Make money every day. Web presence should include the following elements: 1. Website 2. Facebook account 3. Twitter account 4. Linked-in account 5. Blog 6. Podcasting 7. Video casting 8. Store 9. Ability to post ads for new products in key areas of site for high visibility and conversion rates. 10. Ability to add affiliate links/widgets for affiliates like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc. 11. Partners/members should receive discounted prices on all materials 12. Downloadable materials a. Free downloads after registering and giving us contact info b. Paid downloads through store 13. Membership/Partner area a. Discounts for partners/members b. Exclusive content for members/partners 14. Event registration 15. Calendar/itinerary 16. Search Engine 17. Content management system (CMS) that ties all of the above elements together for seamless publishing and managing of content. # 2. BUDGET To be determined. DWM is ready to start work immediately. # 3. TERMS AND CONDITIONS DWM must own, have full access and rights to site code. # 4. AUDIENCE 1. While the websites will be open to the general public and unsaved it is expected that the majority of users will be ministers, church leaders, aspiring authors, those who are looking for ways to create new wealth, those interested in connecting their wealth to the Great Commission, and those already familiar with Dave Williams and Dave Williams Ministries. 2. The average user will have very little to moderate experience with technology and would not be considered technically savvy. Designer/Developer should not assume users know how to deal with plug-ins. 3. The average user will have an internet connection that is DSL or broadband. 4. Audience base is expected to be 10,000+. 5. TOOLS AND FUNCTIONALITIES 1. Content management system (CMS) that ties website, blog, facebook posts, twitter tweets, podcasts, and stores together through one publishing tool. 2. Store 3. Event registration 4. Search Engine 5. Membership area where members/partners can receive exclusive content. Members/partners should also be able to receive discounted prices on all materials in DWM stores without entering special codes or coupon codes. 6. Calendar/Itinerary 7. DWM staff will need to be able to login to add/edit/expire content, run reports, and import/export data. 8. DWM staff should be able to schedule content to be published or unpublished automatically at a future date and time without user intervention. 6. REPORTING NEEDS Website should utilize Google analytics. Additionally, reporting must include best selling items, number of times individual products have sold, and number of times downloaded. 7. SITE SPECIFICATIONS/INTEGRATION ISSUES a. Website should display and function correctly in IE (7.0+), Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome on PCs, Macs, and mobile devices. b. Website should be search engine friendly. c. Development should take place on you own servers with ability to show DWM staff periodic progress. d. When website is ready to launch designer/developer will need to work with DWM staff to move files and databases to DWM servers. e. Website should pass validations for HTML, CSS, XML, etc. from W3C.org. f. Mailing list subscriptions should integrate with our [login to view URL] accounts so that user accounts are automatically updated on [login to view URL] lists when user make changes to contact info on DWM site. 8. PROPOSED TIMELINE Proposal award date............................ December 19, 2011 Phase 1 beta site due for testing.......... December 28, 2011 Phase 1 Launched................................ December 31, 2011 Phase 2 beta site due for testing.......... January 8, 2012 Phase 2 Launched................................ January 15, 2012 Phase 3 beta site due for testing.......... FORMAT FOR PROPOSALS 1) Brief Executive Summary 2) Technical a) Web development process: explain the process you will follow to build the Web site, including major milestones and evaluation b) Address usability standards and testing c) Address any important technology information and specifications used in your solution (languages, platform, etc.) 3) Management Volume a) Organizational structure: communication process; including lines of reporting and any special tools used. b) Schedule of deliverables; include major milestones and testing proposal. 4) Budget Volume a) Break down cost by production hours and phases. b) Maintenance and support: Identify any ongoing costs for support or maintenance should we need assistance or future development in the future. 5) Attachments a) Qualifications and Experience: relevant case histories with information on accessing online demos or examples b) Biographies of all who will work on account c) Professional references.
