Break Even Point Formula - B-Even Formula
Write an easy to use formula to formulate the Break Even Point for small to medium businesses.
I am after a formula which would convert sales figures, variable costs, fixed costs and item costs into B-even Graph.
January figures for ABC Company
Sales $000,000.00
Variable Costs $000,000.00
Fixed Costs
(directors wages, $000,000.00
rent, insurance)
Hourly Rate $55.00 per hour
or monthly fee $49 per month
per client
B-Even point 400 hours billed per month
or 400 paying clients per month
Platform: The grogram could use something similar to an excel format. The headings would never change (e.g sales, unit cost, fixed and variable costs), but the formula would have to be written so that the sales figures, unit costs and variable costs could be changed. If there was a rise in the item cost the formula would alter the B-even point.
I would like to see a sample of B-even formula to make sure you are on the right track. I find that is a good way to cut down on re-work.
