I'm looking for a screen capture and transmit program similar to vnc. This project will have two parts. The first part is getting the screen. Of course this is not as easy as it seems. capturing the whole screen is not a solution as this is too cpu intensive.
The program should work similar to other remote desktops, the screen should be made into a grid of say 50x50 pixel squares. These should be captured and only the ones that are different from previous recorded square should be flaged to be updated.
This will speed it up ive tried it but with plain
winHWND := GetDesktopWindow();
winDC := GetDC(winHWND);
GetWindowRect(winHWND, rect);
[login to view URL] := [login to view URL];
[login to view URL] := [login to view URL];
BitBlt([login to view URL], 0, 0, [login to view URL], [login to view URL], winDC, 0, 0, SRCCOPY);
even with the rect made small it still is not the right solution.
Ok so it has to get the squars fast enough 2 passes over the entire screen each second would be a good speed. But keep in mind that each square must be compared to the previous pass as well to determine which has changed.
The capture should be able to work on dual screen setups, so the user can select screen1 screen2 or a wide bitmap like 2540x1024 if each screen was 1280x1024.
The program should disply the screen capture it should be stretched into a bitmap but it needs to have smooth resize any freeware component availablo on [login to view URL] for delphi is acceptable for this, of course this application is not that difficult the multi screen part might be hard to get documented. But i can test on my screens and always tell you if you are on the right track.
The importance is speed and something which wont drive the cpu above 30-40%.
Also at this stage the project only needs to capture screen compare with previous data update parts that have changed and thats it.
Regards
Ekim
