I want to see if it is possible to build a web bot that will automate the download of .tif well log images from a public domain website. These are public domain images and there is no log in or security code on the site. I'm not sure if it's possible to build such a bot. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). Here is the use case for the web bot: 1. Go to: <[login to view URL]> 2. Click on Document Images in nav tree on left 3. Click on the form to Activate it 4. In Office field click dropdown and select "Office of Conservation" 5. In Document Type field click dropdown and select " WELL LOG" 6. In Serial Number programatically enter a well serial number (73363) for instance 7. Click the Execute Search button, wait for results 8. The results (if any, not all serial numbers will have images) will return to the lower left hand pane. They will be one or several (up to about 10) Download links to .tif images of well logs. I want to download every linked .tif image to my local hard drive. 9. I plan to supply a list of serial numbers in a text file that will be referenced by the web bot. There will be hundreds of serial numbers in each text file. 10. I want to name the files [login to view URL], [login to view URL] for instance as they are downloaded. If there are multiple images for the same serial number then I want them named [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL] etc. 11. I plan to run this myself interactively so it does not have to be completely automatic, it does not have to run automatically on a schedule in other words. I plan to set it running and then let it go but I will be attending it. 12. It needs to have some error handling if it loses it's connection to the website temporarily so that it can resume where it left off in the file. 13. See the attached files. Run through a test download to see the workflow for yourself. It's very straightforward. ## Platform Internet Explorer 6+ Windows XP
