C/C++ audio effect

I need to build a multi-band compressor (audio vst/plugin). The code is in c++ and I´m using Xcode in my case, and using the JUCE program ([login to view URL]) to build only the effect. I believe there´s an edit mode inside the software to just do the code there, might be handier. Anyway, I´ve got a compressor and parametric EQ effect codes from past works already done, and will be helpful for this assignment too I think (I´ll send the code files once selected). So you won't need to start from scratch really.
