Need Access & VB programmer for a simple Database query interface. It is a small product data base available on excel every month. Need to be able to explore the following measures in a user friendly manner:
- Customers Sales Volume & Value
- Shipments to customers Volume & Value
- Inventory Volume & Value
- Customer & shipment Sales ranking A, B,C & D
The above measures will need to be explored by:
- Customer (Total of 7 Customers)
- Product, Product Type, Product Status, Parent Product, Product Group, Product Segment, Product Category
- Monthly, Yearly, Year to date
Today, I am using pivot tables, but I have an issue with:
- Allocating a composed product to its parent product: Say I have product A and Product B and a 3rd product Cthat is made of 1A&2B. If I want to have a report of Parent products, them I want the program to take care of that and allocationg product C volumes and values to Product A and B. So if my sales of A=1, B=2 and C3. it becomes: A=4, B=5. C will not show in the report as it is not parent SKU (product)
- If a product is no longer active, I need to allocate its historical sales, stock and shipments to the product that will eventually take its sales so that I plan the future better: Say product A is delisted and replaced by product B, If I want a report of active Products only, the measures of product A should add to product B.
- ABC product ranking is done mannually: I need to be able to have products ranked base on their sales as A,B,C or D. This should be done on all product list, on a sepecific segment, family or category
