Build and Design Desktop Calendar

A fully functioning calendar which is ready to use. The calendar will be able to operate permanently on the desktop of operating systems: Microsoft Windows 7, Vista and XP. The calendar will be shown in a weekly view from Monday to [login to view URL] Week commencing date will be located somewhere on the top of application/weekly view. Each day will be broken down into 24 hours. I will want 7am to 7pm to be the prime area of the calendar and from 7pm to 7am to take up less space. There will be a feature/option for the user to have an activity continued over a user inputted amount of weeks so that the activity will continue on the calendar for the set amount of weeks. It will be possible for the user to be able to click a button to see the next week and another button to see the previous week. There will also be the ability for the user too type in a date dd/mm/yyyy so that the user is taken to the appropriate week. The layout will be easy to use, easy to read and easy to operate. This project must be undertaken by someone who has the skills to complete the project competently and on time. Must have usual calendar characteristics: 12 months: January February March April May June July August September October November December Seven days a week: Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday The calendar will be able to automatically change from week to week and month to month as the year progresses. At the 1st January each year, the year should be able to automatically change. The calendar will be shown in a weekly view from Monday to Sunday (The seven days in a week). The Week commencing date will be located somewhere on the top of application/weekly view. Each day will be broken down into 24 hours. I will want 7am to 7pm to be the prime area of the calendar and from 7pm to 7am to take up less space. The hours of the day will go down the y-axis whilst the days of the week will go across the top on the x-axis. It will be possible to write details such as activity, place and time in each hour slot. This will be on top of each other, not side by side to save space. The slot will become highlighted in a different colour once details have been inputted by user. It will be possible to drag and highlight several hour slots for activities which take longer than one hour. This should then become one large highlighted slot. There will be a feature/option for the user to have an activity continued over a user inputted amount of weeks so that the activity will continue on the calendar for the set amount of weeks. It will be possible for the user to be able to click a button to see the next week and another button to see the previous week. There will also be the ability for the user too type in a date dd/mm/yyyy so that the user is taken to the appropriate week. I would like to include a colour option so the user can choose between several different colour theme options. (This feature is something I would like discuss in more detail with the worker). The layout will be easy to use, easy to read and easy to operate. I will be looking for a worker who is available for regular communication on the Vworker onsite communication system. This will be so that the worker understands exactly what I am looking for and can give me regular updates on their progress.
