Custom DVD / Blu-Ray Backup & Video File Encoder Software (C#/.NET)

The software needs to convert from DVD and Blu-Ray to DivX, AVI, Windows Media Video (WMV), MPEG4 and mobile formats for Apple iPhone and Android. In addition to desktop formats, a separate are in the software for directly encoding between any video formats listed above (by single file or in a batch). Of paramount importance is the simplicity of the UI. Other software has been evaluated and dismissed because of the complex non-standard interfaces. Our interest is in software that looks like software with minimal skinning and use of non-standard controls. Simple is better! This flow of use would be ideal : 1. Select DVD/Blu-Ray drive 2. Select output format and folder 3. Go button We realize there may be other required settings (aspect ratio, etc) Additionally, for the converter/encoder tab or area : 1. Select source file 2. Select output format 3. Go button Again, with necessary options for whatever video codec chosen as required. It is our understanding that such software can be written so as to not break any copy protection on protected discs and this software needs to be written to comply with all known laws on the governing movie/video copying. Use of Open Source software is fine (with attribution) as long as all dependencies can be distributed directly with the installer. We are aware that FFMpeg is a popular choice for non-commercial use but are unsure if commercial use and distribution is allowed. ALL controls, 3rd party or not, must be properly licensed for use in commercial settings. Purchasing commercial 3rd party components is possible (Starburn SDK, etc), if needed. The software must be written in C#, targeting any .NET framework. A lower .NET framework target is preferred but .NET 3.5-4.0 is acceptable as long as the benefits of using 3.5 or 4.0 are worthwhile.
