I already have a theme I use on Wordpress, but I need to back it up and create a child theme before I update the theme to a newer release. You will not have passwords to my root files. Hi, I am Ian a developer based in Ireland. I can show you how to do via skype. Ideally you will need a HTML editor, e.g. Dreamweaver or similar. If you don't have we can do on my machine and then send you files across. For uploading you do not need to give root access, better if you are comfortable using FTP so I can show you the sites structure. If not we can do through the wordpress dashboard.
