1) If you have done cost cutting before, send a sample. - "During my job, I have done healthy cost cutting for the company. To be honest, In accounts profile we have to do on regular basis, so do not have any sample for the same".
2) If you have not done cost cutting before, then create
a sample and send it to me.
Make a list of 5 expenses and then say how to reduce cost in each.

ABC Bakery:
Lets say, I have a bakery, Say ABC Bakery.
And I make choco chip cookies.
How will you know where I am spending more?
Will analysis the quantity of materials required for production of 1 cookie and will compare the same with number of production and actual material used. The differnce will be wastage which we need to minimize to save cost.
We will do the same without compromising the quality of our product.
We will try to compare Labour cost and machine cost both (If machine can replace the manpower work) and accordingly we will plan our investment and total costing i both cases.
