I am sure this is very simple, but I cannot work it out. I have a mobile app which will store switches states in a MVVM variable and write & read via a BLE connection. It's nearly working, except converting the string into setting the 16 switches. The problems is when I convert the string into a byte, it's converting the character i.e. 0 to been switched to 44. I do not need any app developing, I just need some code to execute as: 1. Extract two characters from a string 2. Convert to a bytes 3. Set the 16 switches base on the state of the characters i.e. 00 -> no switches set 01 -> 1st switch is set 02 -> 2nd switch is set 10 -> 5th switch is set FF -> All switches are set Please see the attached file for the code, which I need to changed to work. I am sure this is very easy, but just cannot figure it out
