Hello:
I am brand new to freelancer.com, but have been a writer for many years, with experience across the field. Originally, most of my work was in the capacity of legal writer (appellate briefs, evidence motions, patents, etc.), but several years ago I began writing a bi-monthly newspaper column for a Colorado paper, which led to a small flood of solicitations from non-lawyer clients.
It was lovely and liberating to write from such a broad range of subjects, and I enjoyed the variety in clients as well. Now, back in Southern California, I maintain more of a balance in assignments. My recent projects include press releases, business plans, marketing plans, taglines, blog and website content, and quite a lot of ghostwriting pieces.
I'm extremely detail oriented, self-directed, and take deadlines seriously. I have an uncommon commitment to my work product and clients. My education is in English, Poetry, Business, Law, and Art, but I've learned most from travels, and from learning people. I have a deep love for words and am amazed at how powerfully they can persuade, influence, calm, and excite, and am thrilled to be able to write for a living.
I have many endorsements and letters of reference, should you wish to have a look at those.
I very much appreciate your consideration.
Thank you,
Jill Rusin
