Ever since I started freelancing on this site, I've successfully transcribed several audio sessions/ interviews for different clients of mine, on a variety of topics. Having that said, coming down to a fixed rate (which I would prefer for transcription work), I would charge USD $30 for an hour's worth of audio transcribed (eg - even if I take 10 hours to transcribe the audio my rate would still be $30 and this is inclusive of the freelancer project commission of USD $5). Turn around time would be 2-3 days or less (depending on audio quality and pace of speech).
