CGI "Anomaly" needed for short film

Hi there We, a bunch of film making students, are looking for a CGI / visual effects artist, who can make us a convincing "anomaly" for a 15 minutes short film we produced during the last couple months. The movie is now in the post production stage. The story: In the story, a man tells his friends at a homeparty about an event that traumatized him, as during a rave party in the woods a person vanished right before his eyes. As he tells the story, we are with him in the woods, and while we can do the effect of him vanishing our selve, we need somebody who can make a convincing anomaly. The anomaly: As an example I have attached a picture on what we think an anomaly would look like, but we would like to have it a lot more toned down, so it looks much more subtle. But in generall it goes into the direction of the anomaly in the picture attached. I think ideally it should be combined with something that looks as if the air in and around the anomaly is „shimmering“, as it does when hot air ascends for example. The short film will be released on Youtube and Vimeo, and it’s main purpose is for all involved people (students and professionals) to have one more professionally produced, impressive production to show in the résumé. The CGI artist would of course be mentioned in the end credits. As we are students and therefore on a very limited budget, the project would need to be done at a fixed price (no hourly work).
