I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too). I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - would be useful to see what models you have as reference 2 - i used to have cats (a burma and a persan) and i know how much the tree is necessary (the burma used to hang on the curtain...) 3 - the model should be made kinda modular - with a universal base, main pole and different modules which could be combined in a series of arrangements as per buyer configuration 4 - also as a suggestion, some modules to accommodates different finishes.. fabrics, rope, etc - the cats are very smart animals and each one has its own personality. the owner could tell if a cat prefers to sharpen the claws on a rope type board or on the couch...
