Hi,
I'd love to do this job. We do environmental impact studies (and my specialty is visual impact) for mines, roads, power plant installations. This means we take photos of the said area, and build the land topology and in 3D, together with the power station, road, etc, and then Photoshop the renders into the photos.
We have a plugin for 3Ds Max that downloads the toplolgy data, and then takes screengrabs from Google Maps / Google Earth and stitches them together. This can be to exactly the dimensions you need, and the maximum resolution you can zoom to in Google Maps. If you have 3D disabled in Maps it will capture that resolution.
The texture map we did last was for a proposed road in Macedonia, and the dimensions are 8192x19106 pixels, but we did not require any higher resolution, for it, so I am sure we can go higher. This will print to 694mm x 1618mm.
The whole process should not take more than 2 or 3 hours to complete.
Even if you don't choose me, I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.
I can also Dropbox you some examples of the work we have done in the past.
I'm pretty new to Freelancer, and would love to get my first project done!
Best Regards
Henk Coetzee
