Updating Custom Category/Post Pages in WordPress

We need to do some modifications to one of our existing WordPress plugins which helps us to better present our product catalogue via category and tag pages in our Easy Digital Downloads Store. We use an existing plugin for custom categories and post pages which we like to make better. Here the scope of the required works to update our existing WordPress plugin: 01 In custom post categories and tags, in wp-admin area, - add a column so we can upload and show a picture for each custom category and custom tag 02 Directory Page for Custom Post Categories and Tags need to be improved • Get rid of Turbo Widgets plugin our directory page uses today and replace by our own shortcode [login to view URL] • Instead create two shortcodes (one for custom post categories and one for custom post tags directory) • Add two list view modus of the custom categories and tags, showing either a) a list with image, category name, category description or b) a grid view of the category / tag images 03 A settings page in wp-admin for this plugin where you can, define the following o Define image sizes of custom categories and tag (height x width) o Select default view (grid or list) for directory pages and number of categories and tags to show per row o Document the name of all shortcodes and add some text to explain how to use it 04 Create additional shortcodes so that we can include the following views to show the list of custom categories and tags on any page: o Grid - e.g. show 4 x 2 categories or posts) which we can insert on any blog o Carousel – Show 1 row of either select categories or tags or all and they are auto-rotation 05 For each custom category or tag pages – which is used by our EDD store,, we need to add filters o Create buttons of all subcategories / tags which you can select so that the list of products is filtered for those products which meet the subcategories as well o Per default show all subcategories selected o We need also a button to select/deselect products which only meet the main category but not subcategory criteria o We also need a crossfilter, so that when you are on a category page, you can also filter for all tags (and vice versa). This should be a dropdown list with checkboxes to select This Project requires an experienced WordPress Specialist familiar with Easy Digital Downloads. Here our criteria for selecting the winning Freelancer: - Dedicated Freelancer ONLY who confirms that he is the one doing the work – no agencies, no teams, no outsourcing to junior colleagues - NDA will be required required - Many years experience with WordPress required - Needs to have at least 20 ratings and track record here on Freelancer - Must be able to start on this project immediately and needs to show tangible first work progress within a few days - We will provide a stage server so Freelancer can test that the plugin fits the requirements
